Meaningful Gift: ‘Five Element’ Community Garden

The ‘Five Elements’ community garden is under construction at Drukpa Gompa, Manali, Himachal Pradesh, India. The garden at Drukpa Gompa has long been a place of reverence and meditation for locals as well as interstate and international visitors.

The five elements are fire, water, earth, wood and metal. These need be in balance for health and harmony at individual, family, community and global level. The integration of these elements into the garden offers both a beautiful experience and a contemplative focus for practice.
