Guru Rinpoche day
Sun, 30 November All day

Guru Rinpoche day is considered one of the auspicious days in the lunar calendar and falls on the 10th day of each lunar month.
This month marks the anniversary of Dorje Totreng Tsal, one of the eight manifestations of Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava)
In this nirmanakaya manifestation, Padmasambhava assumed the form of Vajrakumara at Yanglesho (Parphing, Nepal) and subdued the negative forces. He performed the sadhana of Palchen Yangdrak ( Visuddha Heruka) and attained the Vidyadhara stage of Mahamudra realisation. Thus he became known as Dorje Totreng Tsal ‘the adamantine guru who wears a garland of skulls.’
