Guru Rinpoche day

Guru Rinpoche day is considered one of the auspicious days in the lunar calendar and falls on the 10th day of each lunar month.

This month marks the anniversary of Khading Tsal, one of the eight manifestations of Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava)

In this nirmanakaya manifestation, Padmasambhava was thrown into the Ganges by the Tirthikas from Tamradvipa. He caused the river to flow in reverse and rose to the sky as he performed a vajra dance. Hence he was known as Khading Tsal or he who ‘’soars in the sky like the Garuda.’
