Chothrul Duchen
Wed, 18 February – Tue, 3 March AEDT

The auspicious period known as Chothrul Duchen commences on the first day of lunar new year, also known in the Tibetan calender as Losar.
This auspicious Duchen or “great occasion” continues for 15 days commemorating when Buddha Shakyamuni performed a different miracle each day to instil devotion and increase merit among the heretics of the time. The culmination of the period is also known as Chothrul Duchen and occurs on the 15th or full moon day of the first lunar month.
