Candlelight & Flower Mandala (puja)

Fri, 16 January @ 7:00 pm 9:00 pm AEDT

6 pm AEST / 7 pm AEDT / 4 pm AWST & HKT / 9 am CET / 1.30 pm IST

Candlelight Puja
The candlelight puja is a practice from the Buddhist tradition, which involves preparing a beautiful flower and candle mandala and invites participants to invoke those in their lives who have died or who are having difficulties. The practice itself will bring the intentions of the participants for their loved ones into the pure space of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas where their sufferings, pain, guilt, regrets transform into wisdom and compassion.

Contribution to the Mandala
If you are in Hobart and would like to contribute to the construction of the mandala please bring flowers and/ or tea lights to the venue by 5pm. For in person attendance it is customary to bring cash notes in two seperate envelopes on the evening (one for deceased and one for obstacle removal). Online attendees can make offerings online via the link below.

Following this ceremony Khandro Rinpoche has arranged the full 49 day Shitro choega (puja) to be performed in the Himalayas by monks and yogis of Khachodling. Our principal benefactor for this special time (Jinpö Chenpo) is Tasmania Khachodling and the puja is especially dedicated for the long life of all Great Masters. All in person cash offerings as well as those online will be sent to the Himalayas so that your loved ones are included in these practices.
