Teachings and Practice

The preservation and support of the yogic meditation tradition of Drubwang Shakya Shri is one of the main activities of Khachodling as an organisation. His great grand-daughter Khandro Thrinlay Chodon carries this lineage and teaches. There are students and sangha around the globe studying, learning and practising this path as they also engage in the many activities of Khachodling on a daily basis.

In true style of Drubwang Shakya Shri, the path of yogic practice is through devotion, courage and insight. Unexpectedly, Khandro Thrinlay Chodon teaches in a personal and direct way, ensuring that the wisdom and compassion of practice is carried through and integrated in everyday life – not only for monastics but as householders. Her spontaneous activities and advice are always motivated by deep compassion and imbued with wisdom. She never hesitates to teach in every action and the small details in life – tailored to the individual needs of her students and bringing them closer to their hearts and practice. Under her guidance, students across the world have found their lives transformed in tangible and often inexplicable ways.

Sunrise Mandala Meditation

“How we treat and engage with phenomena is important, so early morning connect with your breath and physical body with offering mandala. Nature gives back without calculation. Allow the sunrise to enliven and enrich your mindful day. Weekly our Khachodling sanghas engage in this practice.”
