Activities participated in:<\/strong> Spiritual programs, sunday meditations, painting, cultural learning, learning at Khandro-la\u2019s home, engaging with nuns and elders at Drukpa Zimkhang<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interests:<\/strong> Painting and sketching, computers and gaming as well as spending time with friends and expressing through art and colour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About :<\/strong> Rajat is a very sweet, kind and happy young man . Since he was 6 years of age he has been sponsored and mentored by Khachodling. His mother Tashi, a Lahouli woman and lifelong devotee, is a widowed woman and has struggled for many years on her own amongst great difficulty. Rajat and his mum are very close and both are very devoted to Khandro Rinpoche and very involved in Drukpa zimkhang activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Backstory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rajat, a kind-hearted and respectful young man, faced significant challenges early in life. He lost his father to a heart attack in 2010 and was raised as the only child by his widowed mother. Navigating life as a single parent in a traditional community has been particularly difficult for her. Originally from the Lahaul region in the Himalayas, the family now resides in Manali. To support their livelihood, Rajat\u2019s mother works in the fields and supplements their income through traditional weaving and knitting. Despite these hardships, Rajat has grown into a compassionate and grounded individual, shaped by resilience and a deep appreciation for his roots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special achievements:<\/strong> Overcame family hardship with resilience and support from Khachodling. Grew into a confident and creative individual through years of Khachodling guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rajat’s Reflections on his life’s path and Khachodlin<\/span>g<\/strong>: Khachodling has been a source of light in my life. After my father passed away, it was this community that held me up. The support from Guru-ma and the love from everyone at Zimkhang made me feel like I had a real family. I\u2019ve learned to express myself, stay positive, and continue growing\u2014personally and spiritually. My favourite memory is simply the quiet presence of the elders, learning from them, and being surrounded by peace and understanding. I stay connected by living the teachings in my everyday actions and staying involved with community activities. Spending time with my best friend Lakshak, who shares this journey, also keeps these values alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
