"Dharma Friend" - offering for a nun or yogis living expenses
Khachodling nunnery in Zanskar, currently has 26 nuns plus two dharma teachers, an English teacher and one amchi (traditional healer). Nuns range from 9 to 43 years old. These nuns have been practicing together with few facilities.

In 2005 Khandro-la appointed Lama Rigdzin Wangdu as the head teacher. He has been very diligently training the nuns whom are also are diligent and devoted. They live simply as is the Shakya Shri way. During the heavy winter they are housebound and can't even get to Sani village only 1 km away - so they do retreat! Living so remote and with so few conveniences they are an inspiration for any practitioner.

Khandro-la supports the long-term practitioners of Shakya Sri's yogi lineage in the Himalayas who are getting older. They are deep in their practice but physically deteriorating. There is no support from the monasteries and they are old established students of Gegen Khyentse (her Master), Apho Rinpoche (her father) and Kunga Rinpoche (direct student of Shakya Sri). Khandro-la wants to offer what she can to assist these practitioners pursue their dharma goals.

There are three localities where such yogins and yogis are greatly helped by offerings - Mulbeck, Kardang and Peukar. All are in the remote Indian Himalayas.

Profiles of your nun/yogi, including a photo, and an annual newsletter are provided to each "Dharma Friend of Khachodling".

puja

Pujas
Pujas are ritual ceremonies performed by monks and nuns of Khandro-la's family monasteries. They help to heal, purify and bring blessings to different aspects of life. Pujas can be performed for any occasion: births, deaths, marriages and are especially helpful in times of crisis and illness.

For a recommendation on a specific puja and cost please email Khandro-la at support@khachodling.org

giving

Time/Skills
People with time and different skills are required e.g. design, building or gardening.

If you have time, interest and a skill, please email to support@khachodling.org

Please be aware that support and giving is not a one-way act. Rather it is a reciprocal relationship.

Giving is an interchange, and one may find that blessings, long-term friendships and a warm inner spirit are developed and strengthened as a result of the actual act of giving.
